Official Bio:
Mark Frisk is a senior digital marketing strategist at Brand | Cool Marketing with a deep affinity for interactive media. Mark moved to Rochester in 2004 from New York City, where he worked for eight years at Ogilvy & Mather’s worldwide headquarters developing web sites and interactive experiences for IBM, Kodak, Maxwell House, Ameritrade, and U.S. Satellite Broadcasting, among others.
Earlier in his career, Mark ran a non-profit neighborhood development association. His interest in non-profit work led him to the Earth Pledge Foundation, where he developed the organization's first web site way back in 1995. At Ogilvy, he led the development of the Hudson Riverkeeper's original web site. Mark continues to devote his time and experience to the non-profit/fundraising sector. In 2004, he co-founded 1000 Flowers, a voter awareness/get out the vote organization targeting unregistered, single women, a demographic with historically low voter turnout levels.

Why did you choose this career?
It’s all about telling stories, and I love a good story.

Just one? Oy. How 'bout a two-song medley? Israel Kamakawiwo'ole's "Over the Rainbow > What a Wonderful World" sends chills. Good chills.
Favorite movie?
The Unbearable Lightness of Being. A brilliant adaptation of Milan Kundera's novel.
Favorite book?
Lonesome Dove by Larry McMurtry. I was never one for westerns, but this Pulitzer Prize-winning effort is a masterful tour de force of a page-turner.
Favorite quote?
"The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable man persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore all progress depends on the unreasonable man."
--George Bernard Shaw
